The food crisis in Rakai is so real. Men are abandoning their families and mothers are on trial looking for survival of their children.
This is majorly a result of the long drought followed by terrible rains that lately swept away people’s gardens leaving people in a terrible situation. A few people can afford a meal in a day!
Through the community relief program, “Mission 316 Foundation” with support from partners in the Netherlands supplied food items to over 20 families. To most of them this was a visit by God; praises, tears of joy was the experience at every house that benefited.
Many families were however left sad and questioning why they did not receive the support. We definitely had no capacity to reach out to every family. We regrettably had no satisfying response to all of them.
